Felixstowe Town Council – Employer Profile

Felixstowe is a pleasant seaside town on the beautiful Suffolk coast with a wealth of Victorian and Edwardian architecture protected by two Conservation areas.  It is home to the Port of Felixstowe which is the leading container port in the UK and a major driver of the national economy.  There is currently a major regeneration scheme for the resort areas of the town and a Shared Space scheme for the town centre.  The Town Council is an active partner in both these schemes.  The vibrant town centre has a good variety of shops, both national chains and local specialists.  There are excellent outdoor leisure and sports facilities in the town and the adjacent Area of Outstanding National Beauty.  The Town Council offices are situated on the seafront in the attractive and recently restored Victorian Town Hall.
