Gandlake Bursary
SIX £1000 Bursaries for IRRV Qualifications
The IRRV have just announced the 2010 Gandlake Bursaries.
The bursaries are an initiative introduced by the Institute three years ago with the support of Gandlake who are a leading supplier of e-solutions to Local Government.
The bursary consists of a payment of £1,000 which can be spent on materials or courses associated with studying for the Institute’s professional examinations. A total of six bursaries will be awarded.
The Gandlake Bursaries for 2009 were presented to:
Gillian Kind VTO
David Parry, Newcastle City Council
Stephen North, Oxford City Council
Gerry Quinn, Glasgow City Council
Ruth Bates, North West Leicestershire Council
Emma Donges, Chichester Council
One of the candidates said of the scheme:
Although I wrote at the time, I would still like to take this opportunity to thank you, the IRRV and Gandlake, for the award.
It will make a tremendous difference, enabling me to pursue my IRRV studies immediately. That means that, hopefully, by June 2010, once the first batch of examinations are over, I shall be half-way towards my goal of attaining an IRRV Certificate.
Once again, I really cant thank everyone enough for their help. I can’t wait to get started. It will be so good to have something to aim for: and, if possible, starting in December would give me plenty of time to ‘get a feel’ for the first two subjects during a quiet period at home.
Everyone there has been so kind – I can’t wait to get underway. I promise I will work hard to show the faith in me was well-founded.
Thanks once again, for everything.
Applications must be in writing stating why you believe you should qualify for an award of a Gandlake bursary.
