Join us in our Children’s Services Transformation Programme. Additional resources are available to East Sussex Children’s Services to help us invest in early help and intervention for our children, young people and their families. We are at the start of this ambitious programme and are currently recruiting a Senior Practitioner (Post Adoption Support) to the Adoption and Permanence Team.

The Adoption and Permanence Team has a county-wide remit. The service is responsible for recruitment, preparation and assessment of perspective adopters, family finding, linking and matching of children; assessment and provision of post adoption support for children and adopted adults. We are inviting experienced social work professionals to apply for positions to work alongside highly motivated social work staff. You will need to have excellent assessment skills, the ability to work flexibly and to deadlines and be able to contribute to the success of a high achieving team. You will receive excellent supervision, training and support.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System. From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
