The Service

This service focus on care proceedings and achieving permanence for children,within or outside their families. The service also supports children and young people in care and those leaving care moving on to independence.

This Role

As a Social Work Assistant you will have skills and experience in working with children and their families and support care leavers moving on to independence and beyond. 

Personal Qualities

You will be an enthusiastic and dedicated individual and passionate about children and young people in care. You’ll be an advocate for children and young people and ensure that their views influence and are reflected in all plans. You will promote partnership working with colleagues in CAMHS, the Placements services, and the LAC education teams, to improve outcomes for children in care and to enable all children to reach their potential. You will contribute in ensuring that the service meets all the requirements of Care Matters.

Salary

Salary: £23,979 to £30,396
